#ReadersForGaza is an initiative I started in hopes of having the bookish community more invested and engaged in helping the people of Gaza as well as more aware.
I took inspiration from #PassTheHat an initiative started by Erin Hattamer to connect fundraisers with content creators. The goal is to have the content creators sharing, and helping the fundraiser meet the goal—this doesn’t mean that they have to donate directly, I know everyone has different financial realities but sharing it across social media, to friends, family, etc can go a long way in helping those families met their goal and leave Gaza.
The difference between #PassTheHat and #ReadersForGaza is that I'm focusing on the bookish community across Instagram, Twitter/X, and TikTok

Ever since I was a little girl, my mom raised me with the idea of treating others how I would like to be treated (I didn't know this was a Confucius philosophy until recently), but I suppose the opposite is also true. We should do for others what we'd want others to do for us.
If my country faced a fraction of what Palestinians have faced, I'd be desperate for anyone to do something, no matter how big or how small. I'd be on my knees praying people used their voice for me, that they'd use their platform and time for me.
Maybe this is a selfish reason to do something, but it's the best explanation I have beyond: it's the right thing to do.

Nope! Nor is English my first language.

The honest answer is every book I've written, but if the question doesn't include me, then it would be A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and In Order to Live by Yeonmi Park.
P.S. Those are books I enjoyed reading for their story, writing, or the lessons I've taken from them. It doesn't necessarily mean I condone the authors.

Writing is my absolute favorite thing to do, it borders on being an issue. Then it would be reading, watching K-dramas, and talking shit with my friends.

If I'm being honest, I'm easily annoyed, but I'd say, more often than not, my annoyance comes from seeing people be hypocrites in one capacity or another.
Recently, what annoys me the most is the phrase (and utter lie) "I'm not a political person" because, quite frankly, you're political. You're just self-aware enough to know your political views don't align with what people deem acceptable. Silence is the loudest political stance you can take.
